Serving Size: ~1 cup cooked

Yields: approximately 2 servings

First Line Therapy Servings: 2 grain, 1.5 fruit, 1 fat, 1 nut/seed,  ¼ dairy

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup uncooked hot cereal (gluten-free) or quinoa
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed meal
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen fruit
  • ½ cup almond or coconut milk (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 handful of walnuts
  • Optional: Cranberries or raisins that are UNSWEETENED or sweetened with apple juice

Directions:

  1. Cook cereal in water according to directions with flaxseed meal, raisins, banana, and fruit.
  2. Drizzle with almond or coconut milk (dairy alternative) and top with nuts.
